Dynamic Load Balancing

Dynamic Load Balancing (DLB) dynamically changes the maximum amount of energy that electric vehicle chargers can take, ensuring electrical demand does not exceed pre-set limits. Limits can relate to site breakers, or the contracted capacity at your site(s). Some EV charge manufacturers have add on DLB hardware, but many do not. Additionally, the DLB hardware from one manufacturer may not be interoperable with another – Fuuse overcomes these issues.

Energy Monitoring

Energy Monitoring with Fuuse Energy is a cloud-based enterprise energy monitoring solution. The Energy Monitoring PRO dashboard enables customers to get a better understanding of energy demand across multiple sites.

Fuuse Energy Monitoring PRO and Fuuse Dynamic Load Balancing bundles require a 3 year contract, and a Fuuse subscription.

Energy Map

Energy Map is a site power audit report and an essential tool to assist the planning of EV charging infrastructure on site(s). Available in two tiers: Energy Map and Energy Map PRO, this tool uses historic electricity demand data to map out energy usage, maximum demand, base load and energy capacity on site. The audit report can either utilise data from either client provided half hourly data or energy monitoring hardware. Energy Logger hardware is available to hire (PRO).

Energy Map clearly showcases the expected impact of EV charging on the site(s) in the context of historic energy usage. It sses half hourly metered consumption data to establish site baseline demand,
adding the planned project demand to calculate the impact on the site electrical and DNO capacity (Amps & kVA).

The Energy Map audit report advises on follow-on actions such as:

• necessary energy upgrades to support EV charging
• potential to lower contracted capacity or add more chargers
• flags if site is near max capacity
• the need for dynamic load balancing to maximise chargers

An Energy Logger can be hired by the month. The package comprises an easy to install energy monitoring device and CT’s (60A to 3000A capability) coupled with access to the Energy Monitoring dashboard. Package comprises:

• 1 Energy Auditor
• 3 CTs, client will be contacted prior to shipment to ensure the correct size CT’s are shipped, e.g. 100, 200, 400, 600 or 3000A
