The Toscano Combi-Pro-Max 2P 63A 1PH Compact Auto Backup and Protection Switch is a compact automatic backup and protection switch designed for single-phase PV inverter installations that support island mode, helping maintain supply to selected loads during grid interruptions.

It combines circuit breaker protection, temporary surge protection and island-mode activation control in one unit. When a power cut or supply anomaly is detected, it disconnects downstream loads from the grid, links the inverter neutral to earth to support correct RCD operation, and sends an island-mode enable signal to the inverter so supported loads can be powered from available solar and battery energy. Once mains conditions are stable again, it removes the island signal and reconnects the installation after a timed delay. A front status LED provides clear operating indications, and a built-in mode switch allows manual island-mode activation for commissioning and maintenance. For safety and correct function, installation must be carried out by a qualified professional and the remote control input must be connected.
